Exhibition about tree avenues

Showing what the avenues are and what they inspire helps to reveal their value.

The exhibition ‘Tree-lined avenues – from war to peace’ offers a broad overview ranging from Italian Renaissance gardens to contemporary issues, addressing the cultural, environmental and social aspects of this heritage. The little-known history of the memorial avenues of the Great War inspired by French landscapes (see the international symposium organised in 2018) features to a greater or lesser extent depending on the format of the exhibition (15 or 10 panels).

Richly illustrated (85 images from 18 countries over three continents), the exhibition, in English and French, is of interest both for the broad public, including children, and for specialists. It offers a large amount of information, with a strict hierarchy in the labels, depending on whether you walk past, look from a distance or approach to see the details

The panels, made of plastic-coated aluminium and measuring 1.5 m x 72 cm, can be displayed both indoors and outdoors. They are easy to install and can be leaned against a surface, fixed to a support or suspended (the necessary hardware is provided).

The exhibition was first presented from August to November 2019 at the Parc de la Pépinière in Nancy (Eastern France)

It is a valuable tool for raising awareness of the richness of tree avenues. Contact us if you are interested!
