In 2027, the Artistic Observatory of the Ash Tree Avenue in Trampot (Eastern France) will host three events:
- the 4th artist residency with sculptor José Le Piez, who will transform a 4th ash trunk from the avenue
- the exhibition of the artworks created by Welsh painter Dan Llywelyn Hall during his 2026 residency
- a unique mass event: under the guidance of Dan Llywelyn Hall, professional and amateur artists, as well as school children and lovers of tree avenues, will come together to depict every one of the approximately 200 trees in the avenue.
Participants will help to draw out the uniqueness and personality of every single ash tree. The images made through painting, drawing or photography will form a celebration of this avenue which, according to Dan, “has become a talisman for tree avenues around the world”.
The works will then be exhibited before being digitised in a virtual gallery.
We’d love to get this event into the Guinness World Records book! To help us organise this event as effectively as possible, please fill in the form below please to let us know if you’d be interested in taking part!
